Configuring waifus
Each waifu is a character with its own personality, avatar, and Discord bot. You configure everything from the dashboard.
A waifu has
Section titled “A waifu has”- Name / display name — who they are in chat.
- Persona — the personality prompt you write. This is the heart of the character and is portable to the rest of WaifuCave (see Waifu card format).
- Provider + model — which AI model powers them (see AI providers).
- Generation settings — temperature, top-p, max output tokens.
- Availability — optional sleep/busy schedules.
- Prompt layout — which prompt blocks are active and in what order.
The orchestrator
Section titled “The orchestrator”A separate orchestrator watches each channel and decides which character(s) should reply, or whether everyone stays quiet — so multiple waifus can hold a natural group conversation, banter when it’s quiet, and avoid talking over each other.
Memory & images
Section titled “Memory & images”Characters keep persistent memory across conversations, and can read images (screenshots, memes) via built-in OCR — no extra setup.
